    Programme Director

    As programme director, Milena deals with the overall program strategy of CEP, as well as the development and management of the quality control system within the organization. In terms of thematic focus, she is primarily responsible for the program areas Good Governance and Europe&us. Milena is a recognized expert in public administration reform, regional development and local economic development, with consulting experience within SIGMA/OECD, ReSPA and the World Bank. In the period 2014-2015, in addition to working in the CEP, she served as a special adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia in charge of public administration reform. Before becoming one of the founders of CEP, Milena spent six years in the state administration, working in the Office for European Integration of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of State Administration as an advisor on issues of public administration reform and administrative capacities for EU accession. As a Soros Scholar, she graduated in European Studies and International Relations at the American University in Bulgaria (AUBG), after which she completed an advanced Master's in European Studies at the College of Europe, with a scholarship from the King Baudouin Foundation. She later graduated from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia and Master's studies in European administrative law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Belgrade. Milena is fluent in English, French, Italian and Bulgarian, and knows the basics of the German language.
