Slavica Kukolj
Slavica Kukolj has been employed at the European Policy Centre (CEP) since July 2022, working on the preparation and implementation of projects funded by the EU and other donors, as well as tasks related to European integration. She actively participates in the working groups of the National Convention on the European Union (NCEU) that CEP coordinates. Specifically, she is involved in Chapters 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, and 28, as well as the Intersectoral Working Group for the Economic Reform Program (ERP). For over fifteen years, from 2006 to June 2022, she held the position of Head of Department for EU Integration and Project Management in multiple ministries (responsible for trade, agriculture, tourism, telecommunications), successfully coordinating project implementation and the negotiation process with the EU within the jurisdiction of these institutions. She established fruitfull cooperation with all relevant domestic and foreign institutions. She also worked as a Secretary of the Negotiating Group for several chapters (Chapter 3, 8, 10) and coordinated the process for Chapter 28. She coordinated the screening process, preparation of negotiation positions, and development ofd action plans for meeting the EU negotiation benchmarks and aligning legislation with acquie. As she was appointed as the Senior Programming Officer (SPO) at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism, and Telecommunications, she was responsible for securing donor finantial assistance from the EU and other funds, coordinating donor assistance, and preparing and implementing IPA and other projects (technical assistance projects, FwC, procurement, construction, and large-scale infrastructure projects in agriculture, tourism, and telecommunications). She was a member of Joint Monitoring Committees for IPA cross-border cooperation programs with several countries (Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina). Her expertise also includes diplomacy, foreign trade, and cluster development programs, as she previously worked for 4.5 years (from 2001 to 2006) as an economic advisor at the Embassy in the Czech Republic - Prague and for 17 years at the foreign trade company Invest-Import (including 2.5 years at the Moscow office, Russian Federation). She graduated from the Faculty of Economics, department for in Foreign Trade at the University of Belgrade, and obtained a master's degree from the Faculty of International Management. She is fluent in English, Russian, and Czech, and has basic knowledge of German.
