30 January 2020 – The fourth annual meeting of the Council of the European Policy Centre (CEP) was held on Thursday, 30 January in Belgrade. The meeting was attended by members of the Council, members of CEP’s Governing Board, programme managers, and researchers.
Introductory addresses by the members of the Governing Board were followed by a retrospective of the previous year, and an overview of what was achieved in CEP’s different programme areas, presented by the organisation’s programme managers. They presented the programmes that were worked on in 2019, as well as currently active programmes, and then discussed plans for 2020 with members of the Council, bearing in mind internal as well as external circumstances.
Members of the CEP Council include distinguished national and international experts, and representatives of renowned national and academic institutions, international organisations, and think tanks. We are especially honoured that this year the council was joined by Sonja Stojanović Gajić, a member of the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy’s Governing Board and the OSCE in Serbia’s Person of the Year for 2019.
The Council is entrusted with an advisory and guiding role in the creation of CEP’s strategic and programmatic framework. Simultaneously, the council has the goal of contributing to the advancement of research methodologies and capacities in CEP’s individual programme areas, as well as assisting in the promotion of research results to key stakeholders and the general public. The CEP Council was established in 2017, and you can see more about its members here.
