<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As part of the project <strong>&#8220;Reinventing Engagement through Affirmative Citizen Consultations&#8221; (REACH)</strong>, local citizen consultations were held in Belgrade and gathered 31 citizens in total.<br>The project&#8217;s main objective is to motivate citizens to engage more actively in political processes that have a direct impact on their everyday lives.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">During these consultations, participants had the chance to share their views on important issues, including:<br><br>• Rule of Law;<br>• Environmental Protection;<br>• EU Integration.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The REACH initiative seeks to ensure that citizen voices are incorporated into decision-making processes, helping to better identify and address the needs and expectations of the community.<br><br>These kinds of consultations play an important role in strengthening democratic culture, enhancing transparency, and shaping policies that embrace a variety of societal perspectives and opinions.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As part of our project &#8220;<strong>Reinventing Engagement through Affirmative Citizen Consultations</strong>“ (<a href="https://cep.org.rs/en/initiatives/reinventing-engagement-through-affirmative-citizen-consultations-reach/">REACH</a>), local consultations with citizens were organised in Novi Sad. It gathered 30 citizens who showcased a high level of engagement in discussing issues and proposing solutions.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The goal of the project is to encourage citizens to become more actively involved in political processes that directly affect their daily lives. On this occasion, citizens had the opportunity to express their opinions on key topics such as:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Rule of Law;</li>



<li>Environmental Protection;</li>



<li>EU Integration.</li>
</ul>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The REACH project aims to ensure that citizens&#8217; voices are included in decision-making processes, so that the needs and expectations of the community are better recognised and respected.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Such consultations contribute to strengthening democratic culture, increasing transparency, and developing policies that reflect diverse perspectives and viewpoints within society.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Citizens had the opportunity to voice their opinions on several key themes, such as:<br><br>• Rule of Law;<br>• Environmental Protection;<br>• EU Integration.</p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Through REACH, the intention is to make sure citizens are meaningfully included in decision-making, allowing community needs and expectations to be better acknowledged and addressed.<br><br>Initiatives like these strengthen democratic values, promote greater transparency, and support the development of inclusive policies that reflect the diverse viewpoints within society.</p>
