SUMMARY:Webinar – Enlargement Package 2025: Brussels Meets the Western Balkans
DESCRIPTION:The long-awaited annual reports on the state of preparedness and progress in the Western Balkan countries will be released on November 4th. Just a day later, CEP hosted this special webinar to examine the results.\nBy organising this discussion immediately after the publication of the reports, CEP maintains its tradition of creating a timely and constructive platform for dialogue with the European Commission – enabling direct engagement on the findings of the Enlargement Package as they are released.\nAs in previous years, the webinar will also feature perspectives from Western Balkan capitals, thanks to interventions by our regional partners from the Think for Europe Network (TEN) ( https://www.thinkforeurope.org/ ), offering a comprehensive and comparative view of how this year’s Enlargement Package is perceived both in Brussels and across the Western Balkans.\n \nYou can watch the full webinar here ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKEeTdrj-gw ).\n \nWebinar Structure\n\nKeynote Address by Giulio Venneri, Deputy Head of Unit for Enlargement Strategy and Coordination, DG ENEST: Presentation of the key priorities and challenges shaping the 2025 Enlargement Package, with insights into how these will influence the future direction of EU enlargement.\nWelcome Note by Open Society Foundations Western Balkans: Having supported the Triple E Programme, the intervention will briefly outline how this and similar initiatives align with the broader goal of revitalising EU enlargement policy.\nRegional Partners’ Perspectives:\n\n\n\n\nInstitute Alternative (IA), Podgorica\nInstitute for Mediation and Democracy (IDM), Tirana\nEuropean Policy Centre (CEP), Belgrade\nEuropean Policy Institute (EPI), Skopje\nForeign Policy Initiative (FPI), Sarajevo\nGroup for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS), Pristina\n\n\n\n\n\n\nQ/A section\n\n\n\n
