The European Policy Centre – CEP has organised two training for representatives of civil society organizations on the topic of environmental protection financing at the local level. The training were held on June 12th and 13th by Milena Lazarevic, CEP’s Programme Director and Dejan Maksimović, from Ecological Centre Stanište. In the mentioned training, CSOs had the opportunity to advance their knowledge of the legal and institutional framework of environmental protection in municipalities and cities, existing practice and key challenges, as well as through practical exercises to improve their skills in analyzing and monitoring the financing process of environmental protection at the local level. Training are implemented within the CSOnnect institutional grant. CEP is the leading organization in the consortium which is one of the winners of CSOnnect of institutional grants. These grants are also part of the CSOnnect program, implemented by the Regional Center for Environmental Protection for Central and Eastern Europe (REC) and supported financially by the Swedish Agency for International Development and Cooperation (SIDA).
