  • Think-Act-Impact: Ensuring Improved Implementation of EU Directives on Environmental Impact Assessment in Serbia

Legal acts on environmental protection in the Republic of Serbia are to large extent aligned with the European acquis, whereas lack of implementation and involvement of stakeholders and public remain major challenges. In that regard, application of the Law on strategic environmental impact assessment and Law on environmental impact assessment is no exception and it can be additionally advanced to meet the goal of better management of the environment. Successful application of these legal acts additionally stimulates advancement towards EU accession in the framework of the Negotiating chapter 27 – Environment.
