November 29, 2017 – European Policy Centre (CEP) held a first working Breakfast with Journalists: Serbia’s accession to the EU: Where we are, challenges and opportunities, and how to interpret the different messages from Brussels and EU Member States.
CEP welcomed journalists from six eminent editorial boards, including the print and electronic media. The breakfast was hosted by Srđan Majstorović, Chairman of the CEP Governing Board and Milena Lazarević, CEP Programme Director. They discussed the contexts of EU negotiations from the previous year, Chapters 23 and 24, evaluation of public administration reform as one of the key reform areas in Serbia’s path towards the EU, as well as how to best utilize “Balkan Presidencies” of the EU Council which start in January of next year.
This breakfast represents a prelude to the next period in which the European Policy Centre, through strategic appearances in the media, will increasingly work on communication with citizens on issues that concern Serbia’s EU accession process.
